This is so inspiring! I totally know what you mean by not needing all the roses, but not knowing any better. I REALLY didn’t need 9 (yes, nine) David Austin roses either, in hindsight I would have probably been happier with just 2 or 3 in my tiny space...

Your garden is super beautiful and interesting and inspiring! I can’t wait to read more.

Ha! It makes me feel better that I’m not the only one over-planting. Thank you for the support and know that I’m also inspired by what you’ve created.

I love the lilac tree, what’s the variety you have? I also think it looks so beautiful with the 3 roses blooming together. New Dawn is one of my favorite climbing ones. I like the pale pink mixed with the yellow and white you picked. Are you moving the white or the yellow one?

Thank you! The lilac tree is a ‘Bloomerang’ variety. I hope it lives up to its name this year! I also really like the three roses together, but they’re just growing too large for the trellis. (I can’t believe how large the ‘New Dawn’ climber grew.) I think I’ll move the white rose since it’s in the middle, and won’t throw off the balance too much. I also think the white flower is a bit less interesting than the other two.

I love your garden, cos it's small, just like mine and makes me think I can do something cool with my little space! My first successful plant was also a salvia and a snapdragon ...I love the salvia...it is still flowering 4/5 months later ...I have collected seeds from it and they are sprouting - yay! I have planted all sorts of bulbs for spring, I also have poppies - Icelandic and Shirley - planted and over summer cannot wait to plant seeds for Ziniias, Cosmos, Cornflowers, Rudbeckia and Calendula...first time I will have ever planted these.
